I'd say it is a great moment to pick it up as Pathfinder is one of the best RPGs of late, and right now it can be done with a gorgeous physical edition. I bet this one will get all the fixes down the road. I guess the game won't be bug-free, no chance for that, but the PC version is great right now, patched and polished. It runs surprisingly well on a PS5, just saw two minor glitches so far, but no game-breaking bugs which is totally cool. I'm going to do another walkthrough on a PS5, probably a 'bad' one (Lich or Demon, not sure yet), and for the moment I'm just about 10 hours in. I've also decided to pick it up on consoles because it was released on PS4 on a CD - the standard box is called Limited Edition and includes a full-color 30-page handbook with artwork and a set of beautiful stickers! I wanted this game on a shelf, and picking it on consoles is the only way to do so nowadays.
